There is nothing I can do to make my EMR complaint with the meaningful use requirements since I did not write the program nor can I modify it. I am confident that the company on top of this and is updating the software as needed. If not, they will have a lot of very unhappy users and the backlash will not be pretty!
ReplyDeleteCompliance with P4P and other hoops for us to jumpt through (including them updating the software as the government eternally changes their minds on what's meaningful and useful) should be part of the contract that is signed when the EMR is installed. If not, you're up defecation creek without a tongue blade...
ReplyDeleteAll this "meaningful use", P4P, etc....wonderful ways to give the government excuses not to pay us, or make us do extra work to keep the money we earned. That's exactly what I signed up for...
